Meet Katy Osborn:
Katy Osborn’s career has gloriously zig zagged, yet creativity, connection and a fascination for human behavior shine through it all. Her experiences culminate in her latest endeavor, Nowhere Collective, which exists to inspire and shift our culture toward radical compassion for people and planet. We offer imaginative workshops to grow communities of sustainability-minded humans paired with a marketplace for artists, creators, and makers to grow sustainable businesses - all so we can keep our one and only planet and go nowhere together.
Katy grew up surrounded by imaginative, crafty, resourceful people. Fascinated by the magical inner workings of the mind, she focused on behavioral psychology in college, which led her to a career in advertising in Chicago. To meet people, she joined the Chicago Conservation Corps, which sparked her personal commitment to sustainability. In 2012, Katy co-founded a boutique creative studio with her two sisters working with women-owned, mission-driven businesses. One of their clients inspired the sisters to produce a documentary, Head to Head, the ultimate ethnographic deep dive into human behavior. With the film, Katy fell headfirst into creative community-building. Over the years, her individual eco-conscious actions felt smaller and smaller in the face of accelerating climate disasters, compelling her to launch Nowhere Collective.
We're meeting virtually, once month and have enjoyed chatting with attendees all over the world. We're committed to our small business community and GETTING SHIT DONE. Join us! Sunnyside Chats is co-hosted by Andi Mints Design and Indigo & Violet Studio.
