Meet Thyannda Mack:

Thyannda is a facilitator, consultant, and mediator. She has this work since childhood. Her first official mediation experience was in middle school and she continued to find her voice through high school and challenged her peers' racist behaviors and attitudes. As a college student, she began facilitating conversations with local preteen girls to help give them a brave space to share their experiences and what support they wanted from their community.

Eventually, Thyannda went all in and became a litigation attorney. Through those experiences, she developed advanced skills in dispute resolution, strategy development, problem-solving, and negotiation. She has spearheaded numerous efforts to advance the development of diverse, equitable, and inclusive environments in a variety of settings, including primary and secondary schools, law firms, businesses, community organizations (YWCA Ames-ISU), higher education (Iowa State University, University of Iowa College of Law, DePaul University College of Law), professional organizations (Black Women Lawyers Association, Jackson County Bar Association).

When her child became the subject of a series of racist incidents by a teacher at school, Thyannda called on all of her past experiences and helped the school move toward resolution. This experience was the spark for launching Inclusive Resolutions.

We're meeting virtually, twice a month and have enjoyed chatting with attendees all over the world. Our virtual format is a bit shorter at 90-minutes but we're still GETTING SHIT DONE. Join us! Sunnyside Chats is co-hosted by Andi Mints Design and Indigo & Violet Studio.
