Stained Glass Jewelry Workshop - June 20
Join us for this custom stained glass jewelry workshop with Molly of Glass.Brodz!!!
In this hands-on workshop, you'll get a behind-the-scenes look at the stained glass-making process and try your hand at key techniques like cutting, foiling, and soldering.
Molly (they/them) will do a short demo, explaining the tools and process of creating stained glass pieces. Attendees will choose between cutting up their own designs and sending it home with Molly to be finished within the following week, or picking pre-cut pieces to finish up during our 2.5 hour workshop. Guests are welcome to choose both methods, taking some things home that day and leaving some to be finished by Molly. Either way, the hands on option of cutting, foiling, and soldering will be available to everyone who wishes to try!
Ticket cost includes the production of 3 charms to be used in your choice of: earrings, necklaces, keychains, a small window hanging piece, and more! Attendees will have time to look through glass of many shapes and colors, deciding during class what it is they’d like to create. If you want to think ahead, check out Molly’s instagram for examples of what has been done before. Combine all your glass pieces into a larger pendant, or turn them into multiple smaller items—like a matching pendant and earrings– the options are endless!
What to Expect:
- Learn the basics of stained glass– try your hand in cutting, foiling, and soldering
- Create your own design for jewelry or a small windchime
Important Notes:
- One aspect of the process (grinding the glass edges down) is not included on-site. This is a very messy and difficult to transport portion of the process, but Molly comes ready to explain this portion, with videos to show it in action.
- Additional pieces of glass can be added for $5 each— paid at the end of class via card, cash, venmo, or zelle, directly to Molly
- For example - two heart earrings = 4 pieces of glass (+$5)
- Please let us know about any metal allergies or sensitivities when registering
Molly will also have finished stained glass jewelry and window hangings available for purchase during the event. They’re happy to chat about the craft, answer questions, or discuss custom commissions.

Meet our instructor: Molly Brodzeller of Glass.Brodz
Molly Brodzeller (they, them) is a stained glass artist living in Ravenswood, originally from Indianapolis, IN. They attended Indiana University and picked up the art again once the pandemic began. After learning in high school, Molly knew they would come back to stained glass eventually - and with more time at home - they felt excited to get their hands on more glass!
